Discover The Waterfront

When you think of a perfect dining experience, The Waterfront at 5713 Beech Ave, Coloma Township, MI, offers exactly that. Situated by the scenic waterfront in Coloma Township, this charming diner has become a local favorite, known for its inviting atmosphere, friendly service, and mouth-watering menu.

Visitors are often drawn to the peaceful vibe of the area, with the view of the nearby water adding a serene backdrop to the meal. The restaurant, located just a short distance from the main road, feels like a hidden gem-perfect for both quick bites and leisurely meals. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, there's something comforting about the familiarity and warmth that greet you when you walk through the door.

The menu at The Waterfront caters to a variety of tastes, offering everything from classic diner favorites to innovative dishes with a local twist. For breakfast lovers, the pancakes and eggs are a must-try, prepared with fresh ingredients that guarantee a satisfying start to the day. On a recent visit, I couldn't resist ordering their signature omelet, which was packed with a hearty mix of vegetables and savory cheese, making for the perfect balance of flavor and texture.

What makes The Waterfront stand out, though, isn’t just the delicious food-it’s the passion behind every dish. The chef ensures that all ingredients are locally sourced, adding to the freshness and quality of the meals. Many patrons appreciate the efforts made to support local farmers and small businesses, creating a community-centered dining experience.

Lunch and dinner options also include a wide array of comfort foods, from hearty burgers to fresh seafood dishes. The blackened fish tacos are an especially popular choice, offering a light yet flavorful meal that’s perfect for a sunny afternoon by the water. The crispy fries served alongside each meal always seem to hit the spot-golden on the outside, soft and fluffy inside.

The service at The Waterfront is another reason why so many people return. The staff is attentive and friendly, always making sure that every customer feels welcome. Whether you're dining solo or with a group, the restaurant’s cozy atmosphere ensures that everyone enjoys their meal to the fullest. On my last visit, the waiter went above and beyond, making excellent recommendations and even sharing some details about the restaurant’s history, which only deepened my appreciation for the place.

Aside from the main meals, The Waterfront also offers a variety of freshly made desserts, including pies, cakes, and ice cream. The key lime pie, in particular, is a crowd favorite-tangy and sweet, with just the right amount of creaminess. The desserts are a perfect way to wind down the meal, especially when paired with a hot cup of coffee or tea.

While the food and service are exceptional, the location also plays a big role in the overall experience. The stunning views of the water make dining here more than just a meal-it’s a chance to relax and take in the beauty of Coloma Township. During the summer months, many guests opt for outdoor seating, where they can enjoy the gentle breeze while sipping on a refreshing drink and chatting with friends. The atmosphere is perfect for those looking to enjoy a peaceful meal with a touch of nature.

For those planning to visit, it’s worth noting that The Waterfront can get busy during peak hours, especially on weekends. However, this is a testament to its popularity and the quality of its offerings. Reservations are recommended for larger groups, but even a walk-in visit is sure to be a pleasant experience.

Whether you’re in the mood for a quick snack, a leisurely lunch, or a celebratory dinner, The Waterfront delivers an outstanding dining experience. The combination of delicious food, attentive service, and beautiful location make it a must-visit spot in Coloma Township. So, next time you’re in the area, make sure to stop by, grab a seat by the water, and enjoy a meal that’ll leave you coming back for more.

  • My husband brought me here for our first real date and we always go to this place once a year ever since. The wait staff was always the best I've ever experienced the food was always top notch and we always sat outside on the deck absolutely beautiful atmosphere!

  • We went for lunch, we ordered few items was listed in the menu and the waiter come back to apologize they didn't have none of the items (3). The also a very poor selection and we end getting a bottle beer wish was ok but, this took over 35 minutes to arrived to the table that we was seated in outdoor patio enjoying the beautiful view. The Margarita drink was ok and sweet. I ordered fries because of the drink since they didn't have anything we ordered and I was driving over 7 hours and I did need something in my stomach. Such beautiful place but, such bad service and what to say about the food. Definitely I will be back to enjoy the outdoors seating and I hope they do have what shows in the menu.

  • It was honestly one of the best dinners I've had in Southwest Michigan. I had the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer and the shrimp scampi for my main course. Both were prepared excellently.
